Special pizza fundraiser Saturday aids injured Pacer Colton Schirmer
It was a cool fall evening on Friday, October 6th, as the Switzerland County Pacer football team squared off in a road game against North Decatur. A few plays into the contest, Pacer freshman Colton Schirmer would suffer an injury that he continues to battle back from to this day.

The award, which Representative Frye presented on behalf of Governor Eric Holcomb, is the highest and most prestigious honor that a citizen of the state of Indiana can have bestowed upon them.

Well, except for the fact that he thinks my dogs are ugly, friend and local contractor Travis Miller stepped up and helped me this past weekend when I needed it most! Trying to get my home prepared for my upcoming recuperation, I kept running into things that were in various stages of disrepair including both my favorite recliner and warm, comfy bed. In a near panic, I put a call in to Travis who - being the much sought after professional that he is - was swamped with prior work commitments.

Pacers get 15 each from South, Breeck, but can't break away and fall to Shiners, 62-55

Last Friday night was the annual "Silent Night" Christmas game for the Switzerland County Pacer boys varsity basketball team - but it was the Rising Sun Shiners who had the last word, using a strong second quarter to break away for a 62-55 win.
