Patty Chase

Greetings from Florence. It's cold here today.

First Friday in Vevay was really nice. Lots of people enjoying the town.

Sleepy Hollow Day was good too. The pie contest was fun. We had plenty of pie to eat after the winners were announced. They were Abigail Park, Rochelle Romans, Sarah Dickerson, Jillena Perry and Wanda Benzing. Congratulations. We always see old friends there. Bonnie Stutzman from Lebanon was there with her pretty jewelry right beside my booth. Her husband John had gone to the Susan B. Komen golf for a cancer cure outing at Vineyard Golf Course. Leona Adams was in charge of the golf outing and she said it was very successful. They had a good turnout and did well money wise.

The Jamey Aebersold show was very good at the Hoosier Theater. He plays saxophone with his band and does it very well.

John and Bonnie Stutzman spent Friday night with Richard and Leona Adams and Paul James spent Saturday night with them.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase met Mary Kay directors Rosalind Evans from Mitchell, Shirley Harding from Shoals, Peggy Sullivan from Austin and June Jones from Scottsburg Wednesday. They had a good lunch at Cracker Barrel in Scottsburg and a Mary Kay business meeting and had a great time.

Kay O'Neal, Randy, Lorraine and Ryan Brown visited Margaret Lee Weidmann last week. Denny and Diana Brown had lunch with Mom Tuesday. Keep Denny and Diana and their families in your prayers.

Janice Ramsey told me about the Brown reunion last week at Billy Lanham's place in Rexville. Keith Brown from Washington and Shannon Brown, Shirley, Debbie and others came from Tallahassee, Florida, and about 40 more local family and friends came to enjoy the day. They had great food, great music and a great time. They hope to do it again next year.

Casey, Sheila, Tiffany Rininger, Casey Michael Rininger and friend Pam and the girls, Lacy and Lilly Rininger and Alberta Pickett enjoyed the Aurora Fair Saturday.

Mary Leo Archer, Nora Gross, Evelyn Smith, Mary Evelyn Pohlman, Mark Scott, Rhonda Fiefield, Mike and Joanna Sawalich, Ron and Jean Sandidge and Glenda Sullivan visited Faye Lewis last week.

Charles and Alberta Pickett, Patty Chase and Corinne Martin enjoyed hot dogs, etc., with Dale and Danilee Thompson of North Vernon at their lovely Florence summer home Friday. They had a good time.

Bonnie Duckworth's mother, Genevieve Truitt, spent the weekend in Dearborn County Hospital with an infection and is recovering at home. Her children, grandchildren and other relatives and friends visited her. Get well prayers for her.

Glenda Sullivan and Patty Chase went to the Benny Chandler visitation in Madison. They met with many dear friends, Peggy Chandler, Mike and Becky Watson, Benny and Louise Adams, David Adams and wife, Judy Jones and others. Mike Watson had a four-way heart surgery a few months ago and is recovering well. It was good to see our old shoe factory friends.

Glenda and Patty stopped at Frisch's as usual and had nice visits with Jerry and Kay Smith, Jerry and Beverly Heath and Evelyn Davidson with George Davidson and Mrs. Hysell.

Becky Curlin, Cathy Manbeck, Stephanie Adams, Sally Weales, Tasha Rose, Erin Lamkin, Kathy Keith, Bonnie Duckworth, Rita Ross, Sherry Howard and daughter Alex met Nicole Berg and LeeAnn Duncker in Indianapolis Friday evening for a nice dinner and show at the Beef and Boards dinner theater. They saw "Chicago" and all had a great time. It was teachers night out.

Get well prayers for Eugene Smith, Betty Shannon, Nathan Hughes, Ruth Lohide, Joan Scott and many others.
