Ivan and Dollie Green met Galen and Billie Green at the Legion in Vevay Friday, April 5th, for the fish dinner. Ivan and Dollie ate at the Belterra Buffet Special dinner on Saturday evening, April 6th, and the Buffet Brunch on Sunday, April 7th. Sunday evening, Ivan, Dollie, and Mary Lynn Reese went to the visitation for their cousin Evelyn Elder in Dillsboro. Happy Birthday to Deanna Green.

Tommy Owens (nephew of Jim Rush), went to see his new cancer doctor and was given new information regarding his condition. He has a mass above his left lung, a spot by his liver, a spot by his kidney, and in/on his adrenal gland. It is not curable, but treatable and the adrenal gland can be taken out. He has started chemotherapy treatments. Please continue to pray for Tommy and his family as they battle this disease.

This year's Powers/Rush Easter celebration was held at Deb and Marv Powers' house on Easter Sunday. Betty Hufford led the group in prayer, and they all enjoyed a great meal. The kids, Bryan, Christopher, Jenna, Savannah, and Brayden, searched for Easter eggs, and Savannah won having the most eggs. It was also a birthday party for Gary Rush. Jim Rush was in attendance and is healing nicely from the "Lifestyle Lift" procedure he had the previous week.

Joe and Donna Brady had quite a few visitors over the weekend. Happ Walton (Joe's cousin) and his wife, Judy from Hebron Kentucky came for a visit on Friday, April 5th. Ronnie Reese from Bowling Green, Kentucky, came up to spend the night with them on Friday night. Dick and Ann Henderson of Marlette, Michigan, came on Saturday to spend the day with the Bradys. Ronnie and Dick are both hunting buddies of Joe Brady.

The Patriot Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is having a Chili Supper on Friday, April 12th, at the Patriot Town Hall. The charge for an adult is $6 per meal, and children are $4 per meal. All proceeds go to the Switzerland County Relay For Life. Come out and eat and support a great cause.

The Posey Pioneers will be competing in the 4-H Share the Fun contest on Friday, April 12th, at the Community Building. Everyone is invited to attend.
