The Vevay Shoe Factory reunion was really fun Saturday. Not as many attended as before but there were a few who had never attended and they really enjoyed it. Thanks to Carolyn Lowe and Alberta Pickett for signing everyone in and to Laverne Hayes of the Rising Sun Red Hat Ladies for her jokes and entertainment. Also thanks to Jimmy Simmons of the Madison factory and our friend Corinne Martin for their help. Also to the Edelweiss Florist for the lovely flower decorations that we gave as door prizes and to all the wonderful merchants and friends who donated the door prizes. We had so many donations that everyone got a prize and several got two. Thanks for all the food donations and for the money pitched in to help pay the rent, expenses and for the advertising. We almost got enough. Patty and Glenda hope to be able to do it again next year on the second Saturday in April.
