Homeowners bring holiday spirit in lights
Nineteen Ohio County residents participated in the inaugural Light Up Ohio County Holiday Decorating Contest. The event was sponsored by the Ohio County Convention, Tourism and Visitors Commission (Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism) with grant assistance from the City of Rising Sun and the Ohio County Community Foundation.

Light up Ohio County judging underway
The Ohio County Convention, Tourism and Visitors Commission "Light Up Ohio County" holiday decorating contest has attracted 19 entries which were set to be judged Wednesday, Dec. 6th and Thursday, Dec. 7th. Winners will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 9th.

Students to sing for Santa
Students from Mrs. Angi Wilson's second and third grade music classes at Ohio County Elementary School will perform eight Christmas songs in front of Santa's House on Saturday, Dec. 9th at 5:00 p.m. The house is located at the Rising Sun/Ohio County Tourism Visitors Center at 100 S. Walnut Street in Rising Sun. The event is free and open to the public.

Rising Sun and South Dearborn battled down to the wire before the Lady Knights went home with a 37 to 34 win over the Lady Shiners on Tuesday, Nov. 28th at Rising Sun.
