but Pacers claim third place

Rising Sun placed five players n double figures but Switzerland County took a 78 to 24 win in the 2018 River Town Classic Consolation game Saturday, Jan. 6th in Aurora.
The Shiners had an 18 to 14 lead after one quarter but the Pacers went up 36 to 31 at the half.
The Pacers edged ahead 51 to 45 after three quarters before a foul fest fourth quarter saw the Pacers close with a 27 to 14 advantage for the win.
Rising Sun senior Trenton Gridley got the start and finished with his first career double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead all Shiners. He had two blocks also.
Jason McClellan had 12 points and five boards. Nick Koons had 11 points and seven boards while Jacob Bovard and Brent Turner added 10 points each, Turner recorded his fourth double-double with 10 boards also. Noah Pflum added four points while Wesley Rider had a basket and nine boards.
The Shiners were 24-for-67 from the field including just 3-for-17 from 3-point range and 13-for-19 from the line.
The Pacers were 24-for-34 from free throw line for the game including 15-for-17 in the fourth quarter and also 8-of-18 on 3-pointers.Austin South led all scorers with 27 points and Kyle Whitham had 22 for the Pacers as both players were named to the all-tournament team.
Damian Breeck scored 16, Tyler Konkle seven points and Cade Rider four points.
Rising Sun dropped to 4-6. They travel to Milan Friday then return home on Friday, Jan.19th for a rematch with the Pacers
